Denmark and Lithuania share a very close and strong partnership. Since Lithuania regained its independence in 1991, the Danish government and political system, the Danish business and cultural sectors, and a number of Danish NGOs have worked closely with their Lithuanian partners on a wide range of projects - from supporting Lithuania's EU and NATO membership to improving conditions in hospitals, orphanages, etc.
In 2021, marking the 100th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Denmark and the Baltics, the Foreign Ministers of Denmark, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania presented a new joint vision for future cooperation. Find the statement at the link below:
The Embassy provides analyses and assessments of Lithuania's interests and views to Danish decision-makers and identifies areas for potential cooperation with Lithuania.
The embassy works actively to promote and support these efforts.
