Anniversary Conference to mark 100 years of diplomatic relations between Lithuania and Denmark

On occasion of 100 years of relations between Denmark and Lithuania,
The Danish Embassy in Lithuania will host a historical conference at Vilnius University on 1 October, 9 AM, which H.R.H. Crown Princess Mary will open.

The Danish Embassy in Lithuania is pleased to announce more news on the celebration of the 100 years of relations between Denmark and Lithuania.

On 1 October, 9 AM, we will have a historical conference, which H.R.H. Crown Princess Mary will open during the Crown Princess' visit to Vilnius.

The conference will have great speakers such as Ieva Steponavičiūtė, Head of the Centre for Scandinavian Studies in Vilnius, Kirsten Biering, former Danish ambassador, Kristian Fischer, Director, Danish Institute of International Studies, PhD and historian Vaidotas Mažeika, Dr. Niels Bo Poulsen, Royal Danish Defence College, former Lithuanian ambassador Gintė Damušis and many more.

At the conference, the publication “Denmark and Lithuania through 100 years of bilateral relations - From neighbours to allies” will be presented as well. The book contains 17 chapters written by a wide range of well-informed experts, observers, and researchers, who each add a unique contribution to the fuller picture of Danish-Lithuanian relations.
